July 22, 2014 ~ A federal appeals court has struck down a key rule in the Affordable Care Act. In a divided 3 Judge panel, the court has ruled that Obamacare “cannot use tax credits or subsidies to buy health insurance on federally run exchanges.”
The ruling in effect strikes down ObamaCare subsidies for customers in the federal exchange. It may also prohibit the law from thereby being enforced in the 34 ‘opt-out’ states, as the letter of the law was in fact written.
An appeal is expected.
