Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg just lost the Executive Director of his gun grabbing group, ‘Mayors Against Illegal Guns’ (now called Everytown for Gun Safety).
Mark Glaze resigned this past week, and on his way out the door had some interesting (and obvious) sentiments.
And Mr. Glaze said the movement hasn’t solved one of its signature problems: Many mass shootings wouldn’t have been stopped by tighter regulations proposed by gun-control advocates, even if they might have prevented other gun crimes.
Good guys with guns are not the problem, and now the former top dog at Bloomberg’s gun witch hunt realizes that.
“The fact that people have learned that the government has taken for itself the right to listen in on our most private conversations has done nothing to inspire faith in government restraint,” he added. “It’s that lack of faith in government restraint that makes it difficult to do things like ask everybody to take a background check.”
Not quite the publicity Ol’ Mikey was probably looking for: THE TRUTH.
Anyway, just wanted to share. There is hope one day they will start addressing the mental health problem, and not target the 80 Million law abiding, responsible gun owners who didn’t shoot anyone this year.
